Listens to issues of people at Kulgam for early redressal
KULGAM: The weekly Block Diwas was today held in three blocks of Kulgam viz. Damhal Hanji Pora, Devsar and Kulgam where officers listened to issues of people for redressal.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievances redressal camp at Kulgam and listened to the people for redressal of their issues and grievances.
PRIs and locals in large numbers attended the public outreach programme and apprised the Deputy Commissioner about their issues and developmental requirements of their areas.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public assured of resolving all genuine grievances and issues while several issues of immediate nature were redressed on spot.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the block diwas is a novel platform for people to put forth their grievances and receive prompt responses.
He added that such mechanisms impart transparency in governance and promote responsive functioning of public entities.
ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran, GM DIC Bashir Ahmad, CMO, CEO, and other officers also participated in this grievances redressal camp.
During the grievances redressal camp, officers present also responded to the grievances pertaining to their departments raised by the people.
