87th Guru Dakshta Faculty Induction Programme concludes at KU

Srinagar: The 87th Guru Dakshta Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) concluded at the University of Kashmir.

The FIP was organised by the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) for newly-recruited teachers from across the country.

KU’s Dean College Development Council  Prof Mohiuddin Sangmi was the chief guest at the valedictory session.

Congratulating the HRDC for organising courses that expose the newly-recruited faculty members to the new and emerging challenges in higher education, Prof Sangmi said this Centre remained one of the most active centres during Covid19 pandemic and regularly imparted training to faculty members from colleges and universities.

Prof Sangmi advised the young faculty members to work hard and stay dedicated to their profession.

Director HRDC Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Darzi gave a brief overview of the FIP and also highlighted the role of HRDC in training the higher education faculty from across the country.

Eminent resource persons from Université de Montréal, Canada, University of Wolverhampton, U.K, Duke University, U.S.A, University of Westminster, U.K, Minhaj University, Guru Ghasidas Central University (GGCU), Integral University, Lucknow, Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Jamia Milia Islamia, JNU, DELNET New Delhi, Delhi University, ICSSR, IGNOU, Panjab University, Central University of Tamil Nadu and many other reputed institutions shared their experiences with the participants on a range of issues concerning higher education.

A good number of teaching faculty from various higher education institutions were part of the FIP.

Coordinator HRDC Dr Sumeer Gul moderated the session and proposed a formal vote of thanks.
